One Union Studios is a one-of-its-kind, collaborative creative studio located in Fountain Inn, SC.
We envision a space for photographers, videographers, designers, and artists to be able to use our space to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment for them and their clients during their creative projects.
The goal of this campaign is to raise funds to fully furnish the studio for multipurpose creative use, equipped with sound, internet, security to ensure a quality space to work creatively.

My Story.
I’m Latoya Dixon Smith, owner of One Union Studios, engineer-turned-photographer, and native of Columbia, SC. After graduating from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, I began my career with General Electric. GE brought my family and me to the Upstate in 2014.
In 2015, I took up photography and co-founded The Queen Photographers (a national community of Black of other women of color photographers). Finding and building this community has taught me so many lessons in business and in cultivating interpersonal relationships.
Here locally, I’ve been an admin for the Greenville Bloggers Union, a 2018 graduate of the Greenville Chamber Minority Business Accelerator, and have been an instructor and facilitator for Village Launch’s Business Entrepreneur Academy.
Within these past 5 years I have been collecting experiences, trading knowledge, and waiting for my time when I can not only build a community of ideas, but to also build a physical community and offer a brick and mortar location to support my fellow creatives.
This is the goal for One Union Studios.
Studio Renovations.
Upon moving into the space, I immediately knew that we had to change the color of the walls. With over 150 hours of labor by more than 10 different people, several gallons of primer, paint, and ingenuity we have finally transformed the dark space to a bright, clean palette.
Next Steps.
The next step in this project is to clean up the paint from the floors, finish painting the baseboards, touch up the trim with paint, begin procuring the furnishings curated by Idyll Bound Interiors, equip the studio with speakers, and install an internet and security system to name a few.
